Here's a secret: I have a really hard time with the little pieces of paper stapled to our freezer meals! Somehow they always get separated from the meal and end up at the bottom of my freezer... So, I am going to post the recipe for my freezer meal this round on the blog instead of attaching it to the bag, and you can just look it up to know how to make it! I hope this is OK with everyone :)Honey Sesame Chicken
from sixsistersstuff.com
4 boneless chicken breasts
Salt and pepper
1 cup honey
1/2 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup diced onion
1/4 cup ketchup
2 TB vegetable oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
4 tsp cornstarch, dissolved in 6 TB water
Sesame seeds
Season both sides of chicken lightly with salt and pepper; put in crockpot. In a small bowl, combine honey, soy sauce, onion, ketchup, oil, garlic and pepper flakes. Pour over chicken. Cook on LOW for 3-4 hours or on HIGH for 1-1 1/2 hours, or just until chicken is cooked through. Remove chicken from crockpot, but leave sauce. Dissolve 4 tsp of cornstarch in 6 TB water and pour into crockpot; stir to combine with sauce. Replace lid and cook sauce on high for 10 minutes or until slightly thickened. Cut chicken into bite-size pieces (or shred it--I like it better this way), then return to crockpot and toss with sauce before serving. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and serve over rice.
DIRECTIONS FROM FROZEN: Empty contents of Ziploc bag into crockpot. Cook on LOW for 5-6 hours or on HIGH for 3-4 hours.
**I'm also including 2 cups of Jasmine rice (click HERE for directions) and a side of Honey Carrots (thaw and discard marinade, then roast them at 425 for 20-25 minutes on greased cookie sheet, or click HERE for full recipe).
Enjoy!!!
