Baked Ziti

From Caetie Carter

¾ lb of ground beef (I used 90/10)
¾ lb of pork sausage
1 cup chopped medium onion
1T Tones Italian Spaghetti Seasoning
2 jars pasta sauce or marinara
2 cups Kraft 3 cheese shredded cheese w/cream cheese in it (divided)
16 oz penne pasta

Put noodles in boiling pot of water. Combine first 4 ingredients and cook until meat is no longer pink
(you may need to add a little water). Add sauce and toss with cooked noodles (cook firm, slightly
undone), and ½ of cheese (I use pepper jack for mine for this part because we like spicy foods). Pour into
9X13 pan and top with rest of the cheese. Cook on 375 for 20 min until cheese bubbles and noodles are
done.

For this freezer meal:

Thaw in fridge for 24 hours until completely thaw. On dinner night, cook noodles until slightly undone
(this will prevent flimsy pasta after baking). Pour noodles and half of the cheese in the pan, mix. Top
off with the remaining cheese and bake uncovered at 375 for 20 min—or until pasta is soft and cheese
is bubbling. Enjoy!
